Festival 82 called for even zanier antics to add to KRWG's reputation, for we were known in the PBS network as the one station for which viewers specifically tuned in to catch the wild and unpredictable pledge breaks.  

     Here local surgeon and wannabe singer Dr. Robert Wilbee "entertains."  Dolores promised if enough pledges came in during the 45-minute break she would "cancel" his performance.  Plenty of pledges came in, Dolores slinked up behind the crooning medic with scissors in hand and cut his microphone cord.  It was a night of mayhem and fun to remember.  (1982)
